Adding a Custom Search Engine to your Blog will not only make your blog look professional & elegant but will also help your users big time,
it will be easy for them to find the content they like on your blog such that it will keep the audience hooked to your blog/site
The Procedure is dam Simple & It could be done in Maximum 5 Minutes
And It is also Free!!
So let’s Start
All you need is a Google Account & website
Search for “Custom Search Engine” On Google or Click On CSE
Now Click on the First link that pops up & you will be redirected to its landing page
Log in with your Gmail Account & you’ll be directed to the page to create new Search Engine
After that, you will be asked to sign in.
Login with your Gmail account & then add your website address
Assign a Name To the search engine & then click on create
After Creating the Search Engine, You can use it in two ways
1: Simple- Get the Code & add it to the Blog
2: It is a Public URL, Create a Link in your blog & connect it to this URL
Finally Get the Code & then Open your Blog
Go to Appearance & select Widgets, there you have to Select Arbitrary Text widget & then don’t select visual portion rather go the text part & paste the code, give a title & save it.
Refresh the blog,
If you use any plugins for cache then I would recommend you to clear your cache & if you don’t use any such plugins then also no worries, you are good to use it anyway.
Check your blog & see if you are satisfied with the Search Bar?
If you want you can make modifications using the control panel shown on the above page.
Hope it helped you. Try it yourself & do let me know.

Pooja

Really neat Pooja! This gives new bloggers an opportunity to use search features on their blogs. If you have not a developer just let the Big G work for you. Thanks for sharing 🙂
